The battle of Pydna in 168 BC between the Macedonian Kingdom and the Roman Republic would be the final and decisive battle fought in the Third Macedonian War. The Romans led by the Consul Lucius Aemilius Paullus faced the Macedonians led by their King Perseus. As at Cynoscephalae in 197 BC, the terrain was unfavorable to the operation of the Macedonian phalanx. The Macedonians were defeated and their monarchy was abolished. King Perseus and his family were taken to Rome to live out the rest of their days in captivity.

I have played the scenario and its fun and well researched. It can get pretty bloody, especially in the center. So as far as a historic simulation goes, its a big sucess.
I'm not that certain however if its balanced enough for MP play other than paired games. I think the Romans have the visible advantage here. First because they benefit more from the terrain, the Macedonians will eventually end up fighting some uphill combat. another issue is that the Romans are further away from their own map edge, which means that somewhat more of their routed units will have time to rally before they exit the map, unlike routed Macedonians.

The scenario had been updated to make it a little easier for the Macedonians, although it still favors the Romans. The Roman Alae Sociorum Hastati units have been changed from Average to Poor, and the broken terrain between the armies on the lower slopes has been removed. Comments are welcome.
