Has this been mention before? I was playing the first scenario of the 42 campaign, where AI arty fires and then advances towards its target, often tanks. It makes it very easy pickings in the next turn to destroy the AI arty, Something needs to done

I've seen it mentioned several times. Yeah, would like to see it changed too...

What nobody else has experienced this issue, devs don't consider it a serious enough prob to make comment? I believe it is a serious issue, it does make a lot of sense having artillery moving adjacent to an armour unit after it fires, can a fix in 1.06 be considered.

As bebro said, it has been brought up many times, including by me. A wholesale upgrade of the AI has all sorts of ramifications - I can only assume that's why it hasn't been done, but hopefully will be in future upgrades.

They ought to at least change the order the AI moves/fire it's units.

In my opinion there are some fixes that should take priority over the DLCs

The fixes are not directly related with DLC.
Who do the fixes is Rudankort. The DLC is mainly done by Kerensky. There's no loss of resources for fixing.

Why should this be fixed.
The russians were not so clever in the early stages of the war.
Manpower and the use of "all we had" were the main tactics to hang in there.....

It's not just the Russian AI that suffers from this trait, though - all nations do when used by the AI. I don't think the Russians were as dumb as to lead with artillery when infantry and tanks are available, either. :)

Coz its dumb. not even the Russians were that dumb. Seriously it is a very costly tactic good artillery cost heaps, you wouldn't use that tactic and nor should the AI, just poor programming of the AI. It also takes a fair bit of realism away from the game, and happens way too often fro minor hiccup

Actually it was a innovation of Napoleon to move artillery up forward in battle. Wait until you face the Russians late in the war with their heavily armoured mobile artillery. A Panther can smash away at one and barely do more than three or four damage. At least that's my experience and my Panthers have four star experience.

Yeahh, but Napoleon lived in some other time and he was a General of a higher level !!
You can't compare it.
