More DLC 1943 info

Early comments welcome!
Some items we'd especially like feedback on, if you have any thoughts:

1. Note the size of the maps from the minimap. Larger maps are a theme of DLC 1943, both to recreate some of the epic battles at Kursk and also to provide a more interesting battlefield for the player's CORE, which as well all know has been increasing in size since DLC 1939. We've actually reached critical mass though, and DLC 1944 and DLC 1945 are likely to actually have smaller COREs and smaller maps than DLC 1943. Which is actually quite historical as well. ;)

2. Here's the campaign tree, although I am actually considering moving the Armory raid to AFTER Prokhorovka, depending on feedback.
Basically you start linear, then decide to attack Kursk from the North or from the South, both paths link back up at Prokhorovka, and then the campaign finishes on a linear note.

If all goes according to plan, we should have a playable DLC 1943 BETA ready before this weekend.

Is one of those paths (Kursk North/South) supposed to be a hard mode?

Judging by the number of overstrengthed and probably 2-3 star Soviet tanks in Prokhorovka, things will get interesting indeed...

I knew I forgot to mention something.

No particular path is a hard mode.

The North path has an emphasis on Infantry and rugged terrain combat.
The South path has an emphasis on tank and open terrain combat.

Maybe this campaign path is more to the liking of those who want to change something with a decisive victory. Looks a lot like having your cake and eat it, the extra "armory" scenarios after a DV.

P.S. Don't forget more detailed casualty reports (and maybe even a medal/hero timeline and dates when units were "bought"/lost) and maybe campaign path and briefing display during the scenario for Panzer Corps: Africa! :)

I am damn excited! :)
It's Beta Corps for me recently, just made it past Lodz in my newly started 1939 Manstein campaign and decided to postpone if after the East Front batch of DLCs.

I recall asking for more Red armor while beta testing the Kursk scenario in the core game. After seeing the maps, I don't think I'll be making that request again. Yikes! Can't wait to start the beta.
