Dear people at Slitherine:

Could you please enhance the optical contrast between the post, because they kind of blur for my eyes.

One post is in light green and the other in "very light green". For my feeling that's too similar. Please apply a stronger contrast.
Couldn't find a place in the forum settings ("themes") for this, so it seems to me, it's your task.

Or just apply a visible frame around each post, please.

PS: Why the change ?

The forum upgrade was planned but had to be rushed through because the old software just couldn't cope any more with the traffic. The old software was much slower at databse queries etc. We've not had time to do the design work we would have liked so expect tweaks once we get it all up and running. There may also be glitches that need to be fixed which we'll do as we go btu at least its up and running. This morning everything was just dead!

The new forum has a host of new features too which I think you'll love

Change is not always worse. The new forum appearance is proof of that. But if i'm allowed to complain for once, i don't like the fact that only 25 msgs can be stored.

True.
I've already talked with Iain about this limitation. For the mod community, 25 it's too short.

In your messages inbox you can only keep 25 messages...that is just too little.

I must say i like the new forum look. As someone already mentioned the contrast could be slightly higher but it's ok for me. Only thing that i would really like changed back are the Avatars moved to the left side again. I can probably get used to this setup as well but the "avatar left of the post" theme seems to be the unofficial standard for forums.

Appart from the avatars on the right side, I'd also sharpen the contrast between the quote and the proper post content. In general it is hard for me to distinguish now one post from another. There should be some clear border lines between them.
