I have recently made 2 separate installs of PzC (one with a modified equipment file for personal use and the other for online games) however neither new install loads my saved games. The saved files are still there (in my documents) and they show up on the menu in the game but nothing happens when i load them.
I'm playing (or was playing) DLC 41 at the moment and am very much hoping my core force and campaign is not lost.

You've two installs?
Uninstall everything related with Panzer Corps. Then install PzC and update 1.05 and next DLCs.
And let's hope there aren't corrupted saves. Do a backup of your save file, just in case.
Never install twice. Use GME instead if you want to edit files. By the way, that's modding what you're trying to do.

I reinstalled the DLC's and fortunately it seems to have worked.

I gave up on using that GME program. Although it loaded PG classic alright, i could never get the sino japanese campaign to work. I've avoided using it since then

The GME will become indispensable to you as time goes on, especially with modding. I would try to master it - all the main mods use it and it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it. There are plenty of guys here willing to help. Good luck with your modding.
