Winning a multiplayer game isn't clear

Am I the only one who thinks that the final turn in a MP game is distinctly underwhelming and not at all clear, for both parties?
All we get to see is an 'Objective Complete/Failed' popup message at the end of the turn that has just been processed and that's about it. I would expect to at least see something a little more clear such as "The Axis/Allied player is the winner!".
Invariably a game will end and I'll speak to my opponent and the conversation will be along the lines of "Err, who won that?" to which the answer will usually be "Not sure. I seem to have met the victory conditions, but you might just have nicked it"
Is there any chance that the endgame could be a little clearer for both sides? A fanfare of trumpets, a slow handclap, anything!
