Unzip it to this folder ... C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Battlefield Academy\Battlefield Academy\PLUGINS
I have a PC so I don't know if the directory tree structure is the same for MAC ... at least the last folder should be the same IMO.
Run the Editor in BA and create a new campaign. Once that part loads, create a new scenario, look over on the left for the button that looks like a hammer and pliers. That's your plugin button. Click that and you should see a list of installed plugins. Amaris' random map will be there, select it, then play with all the settings, then create the map. Takes about 20 seconds to generate on a slow machine, less than 5 for a fast machine.

Plugins are (currently) unsupported as mods, so you need to go against all my instructions, and install it into the plugins folder in the game install folder, not the My Docs/BBCBA folder. Just don't tell me that you are being so naughty

.
User plugins are on the todo list - the majority of the task is dealing with how to manage missing plugins for user content.

Hi Pip Please forgive me if I have done something wrong,in my defence I picked it up from the forum site and as a begineer the thought of this map provider looked good . As someone who is not too computer oriented I can only carry out straight forward operations , so this one is probaly going to be a bit hard for me. Did manage to get that reich download working though, really enjoyed it. freddy

Heh - I was just kidding. We just recommend people never make changes to the core install as it can cause problems in MP etc. The random map plugin is still somewhat experimental, although I imagine we will be including it in the core install once Amaris is happy for us to do so.
