When I type in my serial number it is not accepted as valid and I can't start the installer... but it IS the right number. So what's up with this??

Mine wouldn't work either. Check with Doomtrader for a good serial. I'm thinking the Slitherine numbers don't work with the beta.

Same here... "invalid serial number", but my number is quite valid because my game was legally purchased

So I am trying to DL from Slithrine and try again.
The problem may be the Registration at Matrix.
So try this:
Go to Matrix site. You need two passwords for Matrix.
One is to post on the site.
The is a special password for members only.
Go to member section and join if you are not a member. Then register the game.
It accepts the serial number that you have.
Then we have to wait for Matrix to update their files so we can get the DL to work.
I have had the same problems with other games. Once you register as a member, then the DL's work.

So it was registered days before the patch.
Oh well.. it was worth a try.
Over the last 3 years this problem always occurs with Matrix.
That's why I try to buy the games from them.
Never have a problem with patches if you buy from them.

So you know of this problem that has happened over the last three years? And because you know of this problem you continue to buy games from them?? And all is fine if you buy games from them???Over the last 3 years this problem always occurs with Matrix.

The problem is the registration.
Most patches are issued through Matrix so unless you are registered you encounter problems if you buy games from other sites.
Nothing wrong with Matrix.
Look at Steam. That is a nightmare.

Its incredible that I, and others, can't install de beta patch because we bought the game directrly from... Slitherine! I don't know if this is a joke...

If you read the first post on the Beta, it said the release is not until Monday.
It's just that some people are lucky and can get it earlier.
No promises were broken.
Beta testers can not access the patch either so we are not picking on you.

I'm not sure why its not working yet. It is supposed to work wth all serials so please check you've entered them correctly.

any timeline? that is is there a timeline for the fix to the beta ?
