Can't switch 88 to Anti-Tank mode? DLC 1939 Campaign

Is it just me or is the switch button not clickable? It is grayed out and I can't use them to target tanks.
I'm on the 3rd mission now @ Lodz

Did you make sure to switch before moving? They can't switch after they moved.

No its completely grayed out. I think this is a bug when I restarted the mission I could switch fine. Weird

Did you maybe upgrade later to the 128mm AA, which uses the same gfx, but has no AT switch like the 88er?

He said he's in DLC 1939.
Btw, funny thing you can't capture cities with 88 in AA role, but switched to AT you can.

Yes indeed, in its AT configuration an 88 is treated completely by the game as an Anti-Tank unit, with all that implies for bonuses against Recon/Tank, it becomes a city capture unit and not support, etc. The only thing that kills me a little bit is that StuG units are always treated as Artillery.

As a grunt I always appreciated the historical legacy of the StuGs, as anybody brave enough to bring an armored vehicle in knife-fighting range is always popular with leg infantry.
