1.
I wonder if you can rename your troops... i know you could do that in panzer general. For example if you have a tank that have made outstanding achievments on the battlefield, you can rename it and make it your personal ELITEforce...hehe i think that would give the game even more ++++++

2.
One thing i have noticed when i saw the strategic map, was that german and italian troops are blue dots... and all the allies are red dots..Do i controll both Italy and germany if i am Axis or can i choose???

3.
If the case is that i only controll germany can my friend for example choose italy and team up with me?? or must he choose an allied power??

Thanks for your interest :)

1) We thought about this but at present you cannot name your units. It would be nice to get it in to a patch.

2) You play as Axis or Allies, so you control both Germany & Italy if you are Axis.

3) Again this is something we wanted to do but decided to leave until a later release. You can only play the current game 2 player. We need to completely restructure the game to allow for 6 players, but this is somethign we'd like to look at for version 2 maybe :)

1. Sorry, naming was one of the things we left out for this version.
2. Yes, you control the whole side so CEAW is a 2 player game
3) No, sorry

If you make theese changes it would REALLY enhance and give the game more depth !

Game has very muich depth already. One problem I have with certain games (will not mention any specific games) is that playing 3-8 players it is very seldom you will finisih a game. You basically need all ppl available at an appointment and something comes up and moest often some guy was doing bad and rather want to start a new game.

I played some RTS WW2 game where we were 4-6 players and starying in 1939 we never got further than 1941 because of these reasons ;)

But, it is an interesting option but a huge task. if we make it we want to make it real good :)

I think you are making a big mistake.... How hard can it be to add the feature of "Rename your troops"?? + The lack of souvereign countries i think will give the game a one dimensional feeling, think about how more intesresting it would be with up to six players! for example it could be 2 human 4 computer or 6 humans...instead of 1 vs 1..

Me and my pall silver88 use to play ww2 games like hearts of iron2 but at the same time i have my own campaign i am playing in case we dont play for a while so i dont think your argument, that you never got further in the game holds together!?=! but thats only my personal opinion...

Yes, I agree that if you find the right ppl and ppl you play more then once, then it might be easier to set up appointment. I am afraid what is a natural option in RTS, not only have pros in TBS but also cons...

For instance, with 6 players in Turn based IGOUGO, the waiting time will be very high hence game will take alot of time. Simultaneous movement would be one interesting choice but that means a totally different game and a need to design it with that in mind from the very start :)

We are considering simultaneous movement, more than 2 players and stuff for sequel but with the changes being so fundamental it cannot be done at this stage. I myself play both TBS and RTS. If you like RTS games similar to those of Paradox I think there is a good chance you will like Commander Europe at War also :)
