Matilda I, tank killer

I´m playing the Hague scenario and there are a couple of Matilda I tank. As far as i know they are a hard nut to crack but, since they were armed only with MG, i shouldn´t be concerned to attack them with my own tanks.

A Matilda attacked my Panzer IVD unit and, to my surprise, i didn´t deal any amount of damage but they deal a huge -4 loss on my unit which lead to they complete destruction moments later when Dutch infantry swarmed my poor tank.

I know the random number generation could lead to several odd situations but, in the DLC, it´s not the first time (and not the last, i fear) that this kind of results happened.

I play PC with a fair amount of knowledge about ww2 equipment so i happily ignored the matilda as a threat to my armoured units since they should deal zero, nothing, nada amount of damage with their MG´s. If i try to do that with a Panzer I i surely got toasted. :(

Sorry Ryben, but I have to say that this randomness thing was already debated 1000 times. Some people appreciate it (like me), some want to tone it down, some don't even want it.
It's WAD.
You can always try to play in chess mode, if you belong to the last group.

Adding the "chess" mode was a great idea.

I dunno if people really prefer it that way, this mode might show them that the vagaries of war are somewhat also the spice of the game.

Sorry if this have been discused before, it´s been some time since i enter the forums.

I...sort of like it. No need for cheating or chess...what bothers me it´s the fact the AI happily use this kind of units as if it knows that they will deal damage. :p

In any case, excellent work on the DLC campaigns. Much tougher than i expected but 100% enjoyable.

The AI use it because sometimes it's not so clever.
We tend to remember the times which happened against us than those which have happened against the AI. :)
