This is the thread of GTPG with a custom e-file
What is different compared to the other GTPG?
Units! (Germany/UK/USSR/France and more)

In this screenshot the german units, excluded are the added units that use stock png's.
!!!Last but not least, a HUGE thank you to the people who made or making this possible: Rezaf, Bebro, Kerloc, Zombiehunter, Netwolf55,Puma,Dragos and everybody who i forget to mention.!!!

Hi.
In the first actual battle, after the unit purchase map - it seems that the airport in the upper left portion of the map isnt refueling planes properly. There are 2 airports in that little city cluster, the airport just to the right works ok.
The plane i had over the non-functioning one for 2 turns never refueled and showed the red dots till i wised up and moved it the 2 spaces to the other airport. Thats as far as i got, will go though more in a bit.
tried it again just to be sure -I noticed that there is no flag on that Airport, If this is intended maybe this can be changed to a regular city hex as it could be confusing when scrambling to fuel planes.
Also I havent used the mod enabler I just made a new PzC dir and added the files to that, if that has any bearing on things...
It's just easier for me to keep track of all my mods (and changes) in that way and I have a shortcut directly to what i want to play ect...
- on a side note would it be possible to pack up the gtpg1-4 (& 5 if its near testing) with the hot fixes into one package -if its not alot of work.
and as always thank you for doing these packs, and thanks to everyone who make the gfx resources and stuff available to other modders.

Good catch. German flag added and added to the change log.

So with your system, all the new custom units are making a sound without GME?

When GTPG (vanilla equipment file) is "completed"(= GTPG7 is released), all feedback will be compiled into updated scenario's for as far i haven't done so. Than i will present 2 different downloads.
-One that will unrar in 8 GTPG folders (GTPG1 to 7) so that players can decide for themselves where to start playing and transfer their core from one pack to another. I like that linked campaign idea anyway.
-One that will unrar in the Grand GTPG in one folder and one campaign tree.
I will post a new link that combines GTPG3+hotfix and a second one that combines GTPG4+hotfix and then remove the old links.

There are still 4 packs to be done but i haven't much job left with GTPG5 to call it a release version.
Thank you for the feedback

*"So with your system, all the new custom units are making a sound without GME?"
-yes - i just make a copy of the regular PzC directory and add/overwrite the files to that, and give it a shortcut renamed to
GTPG. The sounds all work so far.

-You are most welocme, it's fun.
I'll be going fully through the rest this afternoon and I'll give a more detailed overview of my session sometime tonight.

Downloadlinks for GTPG3 and 4 updated. It will save people some trouble...especially on sendspace with the phoney " download here" banners.

Ok.... that was the first time i ever lost, much tougher then any maps i played so far.
I had to try again.
I might miss a map in my descriptions but I was playing for along time so im not too sharp at the moment...
played on field marshall-fog of war on- supply and weather on.
Early on prestige was very tight, started a couple cores short so i would have some reinforcements.
First map tough and challenging - DV
next - lost some cores, enemy planes hammered me, I have 5 fighters and 2 aa, scrapped through.
Sink 9 map - enemy planes overwhelmed me a bit, jump my paras early to avoid loosing them.
tough terrain, take the last city on turn 24 sank all - baited destroyers south for ambushes and used my subs on the capital ships.
next map was a blur of very tough fighting, enemy planes hammered me alot. 2nd wave of planes got me unprepared,
cheated to save a fighter

.
dunkirk i think it is, has a typo in the brief- secundary -> secondary
Overall that was brutal, challenging, and pretty fun. The enemy always seems to have air superiority, and investments to counter this
cost quite abit more then i have so far encountered. It was very difficult to keep my cores intact and fight the air war and still have anything for reinforcements. I only reached the max core units by a couple unit captures.
I think this would be too hard for newer players but it was just about right, i think, for hardcore players.
on a side note: The objective discription on the para jump map was rather confusing. It states to nutralize eben emel, or something like that, and jump the para there. This led me to belive I need to use a strat bomber to nutralize a city wth that name,
which i could not find on the map...
I did notice the drop zone after a few turns, but I was looking at the cities wondering where eban was for quite awhile.
Anyways, good stuff sir. Thanks for letting me give it a go. I enjoyed it.

Thanks for the feedback. It is still in beta and the changes i made for the vanilla e-file edition will move on to the custom e-file edition as well.
I think it is important to have a balanced army in this campaign and none of the classes can be ignored.
The scenario's since Norway (painfully) show that you need AA units in your core or you'll be spending too much prestige on reinforcements. You need a solid fighter and fighter/bomber group fast, at least 6-8 units for GTPG1.
Yes the Eben-Emael/Paratrooper victory conditions have caused a bit of a stir. I'm going to change it.
The whole project is being tested and balanced on colonel difficulty. Players can always chose a lower or higher difficulty setting.

Hi, I just wanted to add that while I did mention it was rather challenging, That is exactly what I enjoyed about it.
I just played through again to see if I missed anything and i didnt find anything to report, except that It was just as fun the second time through.
knowing what was going to happen didnt diminish the challenge ... good fun.
I like the custom units, the stock Variety of units is a bit disappointing - so I apreciate yours and the comunities efforts on a meatier e-file.
My hopes are that PzC will become a sort of WW2 toybox with nations and units available to make any kind of ww2
scenarios.
Ah, well now i'm just babbling...
ok... sun is comming up time for sleep...

GTPG with an e-custom file proved to be a good idea.

To all the betatesters (GTPG:TNL), i can say that the beta4 will be ready by this weekend or next week at the latest.
I think, depending on you guys, that it might be a worthy release candidate.

Hey this is kind of unrelated but it may be important and I hope this wont be a waste of your time.
I apologize in advance if it is.
Hopefuly it's just something on my PC's setup, but you may wanna check it out just in case.
So anways on to the point....
I was playing with the eqp file and when i select the bf109C it causes the editor to throw an error:
"object reference not set to an instance of an object"
It was only clicking on the bf109C to get the error - I clicked on all the other german units, have not tried other nations.
I havent actual tried the BF109C in game so I dont know if the game is affected - assuming it is actualy something with the EQP file and not just me...
Hopefuly helping

Now that is an error i never heard of before.
I checked the e-file and originally the line was copied from the bf109e, only a few values were altered.
Perhaps you can post it also in the tech support section.

I just finished the first map.
I played on Colonel level. DV in 7 turns. Lost quite a lot of non-core units. However, there are quite a lot of turns (16) to finish this mission.
I enjoyed to play Gerold Treitler maps in PC.
Some comments:
- Ski Inf are fun but does not fit at that part of the campaign (There is no snow in Danzig). Moreover, they are hugely better than wermacht infanterie (+ 2 MP, +1 ammo, +1 I, +1 GD, +1 SA) and cost 2 points less. It is quite a über-unit, not at his place. I don't know if the movement could be reduced in non winter time, but the cost has really to be increased...
- Flammpanzer. That is another über-unit. Cost less than a Panzer IVC (-53 prestige), but stats are really better (+2 fuel, +9 ammo, +7 SA, +1AD for just -1 GD). 13 SA is really a lot, more than late game unit in PC. And just for the price of a Panzer IIC. The price has to be really increased and perhaps stats reduced...
- Wermacht infanterie vs Gebirgsjäger. They have the same price. Is it wanted ? Gebirgsjäger is better (more movement in mountains, +2 AD, +1SA for -1GD). I thought that Wechmacht infanterie was cheaper in original PC.
When buying units, all the new units have a graphical problem for me. The view above the stats is broken, but it is perhaps intended.
