Releasing of Content

Dev's,
Please take this post as a COMPLIMENT
When are we to see more content (i.e. DLC '43) after the release of '42? I ask because the gap between '41 and '42 has/will be roughly a month. Is this going to be the standard for content release timeframes? I actually put down Batman Arkham City to play this, so you can see why I'm impatient
Cheers

A DLC is foreseen for every year of the war.

39 and 40 came out in November.
41 came out in December.
42 is due out at the end of January (just entered 2nd and possibly final BETA phase).
43 is scheduled to be out before the end of February.
The DLC have been on a monthly schedule since they started with the release of 39 and 40. The plan is to continue this all the way to DLC 1945 East Front. After that, we'll see what happens whether more are made, or Africa, or other content comes to the forefront.

Oh!
You are staying in the Ostfront for the entire GC run?

I will test the starter core for 1943. My own core somehow went bankrupt.

I have been more in Beta than playing the finished DLCs, I will probably restart from scratch in ultra hardcore mode once all 39-45 DLCs have been released.
I am a huge fan of the DLCs but would argue in favor of a larger expansion instead of a DLC after this series. AFRICA!!!

1 a month? perfect and thanks.
However I truly would love extended special dlc's or expansions that takes a different approach compared to the format as it is now. For ex a dlc of just the Narva/baltic battle of 44-45 with several maps of different locations of Narva, Praga (the great tank battle outside of Warzaw summer/autumn 44) or wathever you personaly like. Kharkov is one that I would personally love extremly much.
Like a mini campagin in the bigger picture if you know what I mean. I like Kursk but only 1 map/scenario for it ? Same with others, feels a little to small for me and D-day 1 scenario of 22 turns. Fun yes but again I want at least 5-10 in those big campaigns/Battles.
Just a thought.

I think I remember Kerensky saying Kursk would be broken into more than one battle.

I'd hope! Largest Armoured engagement in history deserves that

means no.
If i understood his comment correctly, the Lordz are going to release Eastern Front DLCs 42, 43, 44 and 45
before developing DLCs for North Africa (41 - 43), the Mediterranean / Italy (43/44) and the western front (44/45).

That makes sense.
Not only the Ostfront was Germanys major theatre of war but it was also the most interesting from a gameplay view.
Africa and Western fronts can wait.

ORIGINAL: Lord Zimoa
Western Front, Afrika and Allied will be covered, how and when we cannot comment on this at this stage... more I really cannot reveal.

Having the Western front and Africa covered together and keeping the eastern front separate does seem like the best solution now that you`ve mentioned it.

Assuming that the africa, western front, allied, pacific and so on add-ons will be of the same high level of quality as the already released DLCs are (and there's not the slightest reason to doubt that) there're more than worth the wait.
Patience is a virtue.

I bet at least that North Africa will be more an expansion than a DLC.

The entire African campaign (from the German perspective at least) could probably be released as a single 'jumbo' expansion pack.

A change of pace/flavour from Russia would have been nice.

The EASTERN FRONT is where the real "action is". Secondary the West and Italy. In Africa the equipment, especially the armor was boring stuff. Even the General Staff considered Africa a secondary area of importance.

While I am a big fan of the game and the DLCs, I must admit I would prefer to see a renewed version of Allied General.
I am just a little tired of constantly defeating the democracies. The Eastern Front DLCs will solve this for the time being so I can wait. If an African campaign is in the works please allow us to choose whether one plays the campaign as the Allies or the Germans.
Cheers
