Slitherine

I have tried to add some custom designed scenarios that I have downloaded from the forum, but the new scenarios do not show up in the Games List when I try to boot up a new game. What am I doing wrong? I am putting the new scenarios directly into Games Folder of Field of Glory. All the games directories are in the Gamers Folder, but none of them show up in the Games List. Thanks for the help.

Custom scenarios ( as well as saved games) are not in the main game folder but in your document and settings

So you should find something like this C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Slitherine\FieldOfGlory Scenarios

Remember to then check off "custom" when you go to launch a custom scenario or the engine will just display offical ones.

Thank you for the suggestion. I have posted both Hydaspes and Adrianople into C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Slitherine\FieldOfGlory Scenarios. I then went to New Battle, clicked off *custom* to launch the new scenario and neither of them were listed.

Hmm... The only other thing I can think is if the folders for the scenarios themsleves arnt su to just drop in the Slitherine\FieldOfGlory Scenarios folder.

Going from memory here but there should be a folder for the Hydaspes scenario in the Fieldof Glory Scenarios called "Hydaspes", inside that "Data" and inside that 3 or 4 xml type files?

I downloaded the file for all usermade scenarios found under Scenario Design section of the Forum using the following link: https://rapidshare.com/files/520423036/ ... .11.11.zip. I have the orginal Field of Glory, Immortal Fire, Decline and Fall and Rise of Rome. I have the latest update for FOG as well. I have tried downloading the scenarios both into my Documents section and the Scenario folder of my FOG directory. I cannot find any of the new games on any games list at all. The following files are the ones in the Hyaspes directory:

game-fixed xml file
scenario0.fogsg file
scenario1.fogsg file
ui xml file

if a custom sceanrio is install correctly this is the path you should see
(also, in the Slitheirne dir you should also see a saved games and a dag army folder as well.)

inside the data are the 4 files you referenced above....

I just downloaded that mega file and have thought there might be two issue.
Ist that download is one large ZIPPED file.... However inside are 375 individually zipped (some winzip some RAR)

You didnt just unzipp the whole thing into the scenario directory , did you? if so you might have uzipped files that the game cant read...(oh and you'd have an additioanl file path as well)

Also to add to the wows I have noticed that there are MUltiple version of scenarios.... ( including the Hydaspes one) Often The zip file has a unique name but the actual file when you open has the same name as another.... something to watch out for ... as the 2 version will overwrite the other....

I would try to just workl on one at a time , maybe a diferent one from Hydaspes in case that one is somhow corupted..... Check the file path again just to be safe ( make sure the scenario you dumped in the the directory is unzipped.... (maybe that is the problem??)

Also , have you ever used the editor? If not, make a quick batte with some unique name and save all you need to do is save a map and name it, add a single unit with a leader to each side... Then see if your own custom scenario is visible when launhing the game... If not then there could be another problem for real tech support:)
