i have seen that there are early and late hoplites armies with spartan allies, but i think that why not Athenian and Teban separate armies ? i know that hoplites armies are not many different but it's a nice idea to have separate armies for poleis ( with different colours )

This wont help ya for DAG battles but if you check out the graphics in the editor, there are TONS of hoplite graphics!
