Enjoyable

Hi Guys,

I've just had an enjoyable game of FoG:A. The first in quite a long time. Luck was against me quite a bit in the CMT stakes, but overall I enjoyed the game.

The difference, it seemed to me, was that my troops were actually able to do things even though I was rolling crap. The army I used was drilled MF, which is totally different to Undrilled HF in oh-so-many ways.

I really hope that they've ironed out some of the problems of undrilled and/or heavy foot in FoG:A(V2), because I really saw how much of a difference feeling like you can't do anything can make.

They took the iron.....and shoved it in the face of the drilled MF. Problem ironed out. Actually thats a bit harsh. If you want to play HF armies organise 5x3 foot table comps and petition for HF to move 4".

Or play FoGR - no undrilled - and something with Swiss in - there the MF move 3MU and the Swiss are Determined Foot and move 4MU...

Yes, I do find FoG:R a more enjoyable game in many ways (just for the speed of play if nothing else - no (less) Benny Hill-ing) but I still want to play ancients.
