I'm playing Grand Campaign as the Axis and I opted to control Germany, Italy, Romania, Hungary, Persia and Finland.

Poland, Denmark, Holland, Belgium seemed to surrender as expected...but France seems to be playing until the last man...was this intended (Paris captured fairly quickly)? Also I invaded in February of 1940 ... not sure if that makes a difference.

For some reason Russia has entered the war against me...even though I left a lot of troops on the eastern front...is this intended ... it is only June of 1940.

If you want to experience the best game play what do you recommend as the settings assuming you want to play as the Axis>

The late surrender of France and early Soviet DOW are already fixed for the next patch.

If you are an experienced player, please try to play the game on hard as axis and set soviets and allies to easy

Is the patch available?

The patch is not yet ready, however there is a hotfix for the early Soviet DOW:
