Hi

I am painting a load of cloaks in Games Workshop blood red.

The cloaks have quite a lot of folds. Can anyone suggest the correct colour for the shading? (doesn't have to be branded necessarily).

Dark flesh and terracota work fine too. I would rather go with a base of those and then get the lights adding red.

I find GW blood red base colour. GW red ink. then dry bush highlight with lightened blood red... works for me. Also the purple, blue and green equlivents works as well

i use vallejo-reds for my red-paintings.

i have posted in my blog which colors i used - you can see the color-names and numbers in the text, although its in german language.
