Didn't know there was going to be a "Hobbit".
I've read it once and it was after my first reading of "The Lords of the Rings".
At the time, I felt a little disappointed, naturally.
Anyway, thanks for the heads up.

I enjoyed the cartoon version from ages past. :)

The real question is... How much do we have to wait for a silmarillion movie-saga? The hobbit is really nice but it doesn't even come close to the epicness of the silmarillion!!!
Anyway looking forward to the movie too.

I'm wondering about the stats of the Hobbit. You know, hard/soft attack, close defense etc. Maybe the devs also include specific traits for smoking, eating, and chanting songs while marching for Hobbit units.

Film has been in preparation for some years now, due to financing (bankrupted studio) and directorial problems (Guillermo del Toro quited the job).

Filming started in spring, AFAIK.

I guess, then it will be harder to get tickets. :(
By the way, did they told at what hour it would be?

Whose up for creating a map of Middle Earth? Just think of the prestige value for entering Mordor?

I am waiting for the first movie, the problem is that as LotR, we will have to wait another year for the next one.
