What happens when you reach research level 6 (the maximum) in a subcategory of tech? For example, you reach Tank Destroyer Tech Level 6. Are your research points then split between the two remaining techs (Blitzkrieg and Armour)? Or are they still split between all 3 techs? From experience, I think it is the latter. I think this makes sense, although I would propose that if you reach level 6 tech in a category where there is a focus point, the focus point automatically goes away.

There's no need for that as you get more focus points than you can spend so by the time you reach level 6 of something you'll probably have a focus point spare to shift the focus to something else in that category.

I think this is a good question, and would also like to know the answer, though I suspect that Svejk's guess is correct. I also think his suggestion is a good one, but I think I read that in GS 2.1 you will not need to use a focus point to shift back to "balanced" research anyway. I frequently run short on focus points and don't agree with Samhain that there is no need for this.
