First GB turn - German battle group spotted in Channel - inflicted some damage on it with two air strikes. Real life then intervened and I had to save the game and close. When I returned to the game and loaded the save - GB turn 1 - the German group had vanished. Couple of recon flights over the area failed to spot it. Is this as it should be?

The German group is for sure there.

The effects of visibility might change between load, because of different random numbers generation.

Hmm - I tried loading and reloading the game, and you're right, out of three re-loads, the Graf Spee appeared twice. I should've sunk the darned thing when I could see it !!!
