I swear I read somewhere that you could only keep 10 of your core units from DLC to DLC, so I did not buy additional units in the later scenarios thinking I wouldn't be able to keep them anyway. But I could keep them all for '40 DLC, and now I see that I still keep all my units for the '41 DLC as well.

Are there any plans in the future DLCs to limit the number of core units you can carry over?

If I remember correctly, it was said that you will keep your army, so the core units, throughout the whole grand campaign. Until the very end. You will be able to get at least one more unit per dlc, because with every dlc in the grand campaign you will be allowed one more SE unit.

Having played the first two DLC s all the way through and the first scenario in the third DLC this is not true. Your entire core transfers over with you (including SE units)
