Most Expansion Pack Maps not Acccesible to Editor

(I'm using the Mac version 1.6.1, running OS X Lion.) I've purchased both of the available expansion packs, but the scenarios from the France 1940 single player campaign, Market Garden single player campaign, and Market Garden multiplayer folders do not show up when I select "Start with an Existing Scenario" in the editor. Of the expansion scenarios, only the France 1940 multiplayer folder seems to be accessible to the editor.

Yes this was an oversite in the way things were built. We're looking at how to fix it and hope to have it addressed in the next patch due early in January.

Thanks, that's good to know.

Would this allow me to convert the excellent "Hell's Highway" scenario from the Market-Garden campaign into a multi-player scenario? My dream is to add maps beyond Eindhoven so as to create a single scenario that runs from the XXX Corps forward positions all the way to Arnhem...

I can't see any reason why not - you will have the map and scripts as a starting point.

It will go live the same time as Sealion, which should be in the next day or 2 - fingers crossed!

Alas, 1.7 does not seem to have remedied. Still getting a dialog box "Failed to find squad type PARA_BREN in map file..." which then causes crash. Various versions of this error message occur with several other multiplayer scenarios, but not all.

The expansion packs require you to set up a campaign with matching squads files etc before you can use them. This is pretty simple. First, copy the appropriate campaign into your My Documents\My Games\BBCBA\CAMPAIGNS folder. Then delete the CAMPAIGN.REZ and CAMPAIGN.TXT files (if they are there). Then go into the SCENARIOS folder and delete the contents (you an of course leave them there, if you wish to edit the existing scenarios).
You should then be able to use the editor to tinker with any of the Arnhem scenarios. I just followed my own instructions, and it worked fine here, so hopefully that will let you get going.

Thanks!
BTW, do you know if the wayward cliff hexes were removed from the Arnhem multiplayer scenario? That's what's driving the interest in editing Arnhem anyway....

I followed the instructions and was able to load the Arnhem multiplayer scenario into the editor (thank you!), but I couldn't change the "cliff" status of the squares in question. I could change their appearance to different types of roads, but they still registered as cliffs when I hovered the mouse pointer over them. Very strange....

Very odd. Could there be an object there which is altering the terrain (although I can't think what object would have been set to turn the terrain to cliff).

Could they be roadblocks? It would make a lot of sense historically, however one should see them scattered around the battlefield vice just the area near the cathedral.

Is there any way to move or delete objects in the editor? Placing road tiles on top of the cliffs doesn't work.

Hit delete when in object mode and it will delete any objects near the cursor. Selecting a small object first makes it easier to see exactly where you are deleting.

Aha! That worked! I've gotten rid of all of the invisible cliff objects that I could find (4 total) in the Arnhem multiplayer map. I will save the repaired scenario file in my public Dropbox and share the link within the next few days.
