Slitherine

I uninstalled the original DLC Beta but when then go to uninstall the '41 Beta I get an error:



Any idea on how to uninstall the '41 beta???

I installed the 1.05 beta 2 but still can't uninstall the '41.

Can I install the '41 v3 over top?

Yes, I think so.

Another odd thing. (The laptop I had originally installed PanzerCorps, '39, '40, Beta and '41Beta had gone in for repairs, so I installed everything on a different laptop.)

On this one (original)(with the uninstall prob), I get this when I start the game:



But on the 2nd laptop, when I went to check, I get the Slitherine: We've Got History menu...with the PLAY PanzerCorps...and options to check for updates, go to editor...

Why am I not seeing that here?

Beta 1.05 has a different launcher from 1.04.
That seems to be correct.

Except I get the beta launcher when I launch the original main game.

Hmmm.
And you've Panzer Corps updated to 1.04?
Can you run that launcher and see which version you're running?

In both cases, 1.04. On this machine, with the errors and that screen above, I can go into START>Programs>Slitherine>PanzerCorps...and there is an update option along with play option...

but if I play I get the above screen.

It's like the beta has taken over!!

Well, if I were you I would uninstall all, starting by beta dlc, beta 1.05, DLC 39 and 40, main game.
Then I would install:
- Panzer Corps 1.0.
- Update 1.04
- DLC 39 and 40
- Beta 1.05 (not over Panzer Corps main folder)
- DLC 41 beta

Has the beta launcher somehow ended up also in the main live game?

Each time everything was installed to default paths it chose. Well...I suppose...will try to uninstall all...uugghhhh.

Probably. I don't know how and it's working with 1.04.
That's why I suggesting you to install everything again.

If you've the installation files, it's only 10 minutes. I'm always doing that to replicate some of forum members issues.

I always install PzC in C:\Slitherine\ Panzer Corps and beta in C:\Slitherine\Panzer Corps beta

ya..true...it was the downloading the files that took time...k...starting the clock...

Install basic PC. Let the game update...30min later as it looks like it is finally finishing downloading the update...it gives 'error downloading file' msg. Will just nab it here. But as previously mentioned, the in-game updater seems to be ungodsly slow and error prone.

Installed original PC. Installed update 1.04. Installed '39 and '40. All seems fine and the opening options menu now pops up. I think I will leave the beta '41 and beta 1.05 out until it is released (hopefully) Monday.
