Scenario: Fall Grün

A quick scenario that I whipped up for fun, based on Hitler's planned invasion of Czechoslovakia.

Download here!

Extract into "My Documents/My Games/Panzer Corps/Scenario". Create folders if needed.

Axis side is Germany. Allied side is Czechs (represented by Poland) and Slovakia.

Germany is slightly easier. Germany starts with a decent army and lots of prestige.
Czechoslovakia starts with a somewhat weak army but lots of border strongpoints and get extra prestige every turn to represent recovering from the surprise of the invasion.

This scenario is completely ahistorical, not only did it not happen, the army compositions are also not exact.

I had the pleasure of trying your scenario this evening.
I don't know if it is your first or not, but in my opinion, it is very nicely done.

I liked it because,
great map representation
if you go in just like that, it is gonna hurt, so scouting is extremely important
a thorough check of your units is necessary, their placement and how to proceed has been thought about
there is a nice balance of units, and later during gameplay, of the ai aswell
ai actually tries to stop you, just not sitting there and playing cards

in my opinion the player starts with too much prestige, should cut it in half (at least)

i managed to get a DV, just on time on colonel level
i am looking forward to your next scenario, thanks for sharing.

Well, Spambot alert reported with a flag.

But as a possible, rare positive side effect of this...does anyone by chance happen to still have this scenario around? I noticed I don't have it in my collection.

Oh, yes... It would also be nice to be able to add this scenario to my collection. Unfortunately the original download link is down... May be Nikivdd, who tested it, has the files stored, but he is also absent from the forums since some time...

If any other member can share this scenario, I would be very grateful! 8)

Nico is around in PzC2, so a PM might work to see if he still has it.

@ Guille: A Panzer Corps fan is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to. :D

Dalfrede, Nico:
Thanks for the prompt answer! It´s very nice to see that we are at present less people around here, but not a little bit less helpful!!
Besides, it is very good news that you Nico are still around here. I supposed that you were absent from the forum because you were not posting in the PzC section and I did not find you in the PzC2 section (I confess that I am not lurking there much).

About the Fall Grun scenario: Of course I played it, because I played the superb LoV campaign made by you and I have everything with the brand "made by Nikivdd" stored in my PzCorps files. The detail that made me think they were not related scenarios were the presence of high mountain hexes in the first picture shown in this thread, but now that Dalfrede uploaded the LoV flowchart and scenario maps, I see that it is nothing less that the first scenario of said campaign (a scenario whith no high mountains hexes positioned on its map). So, in fact, I did not miss that scenario, after all!

Thanks a lot again and my best wishes to both of you! :-)
