Maybe I'm being really stupid here, but the MH manual says you can reduce the music volume.

I need to turn it down because it drowns out the combat sounds, but cant work out how to.

Can anyone help?

I'd like to retain the music but have it at a much lower volume. Is that possible?

Here is a "low music mod" I made for my own use. I have set the sound more low, as you seems to prefer. Note that this mod does not modify the introduction music level, only the music level during game. You have to copy the file in "Grand Strategy mod/sound" (and not in the sound directory of the main game)
