You really should make a selectable option for the scenarios allowing for a final report to be automatically available for everyone to view and a permanent sort of ranking. Their should be little or no penalty for losing, but when you win a game you should be promoted, especially against a high ranking opponent. Then you could become a field marshal by winning battles against real players! Participation could of course be optional and would only use screen names.

A ranking system for multiplayer is planned, but not until much later if at all.
As for ranking player progress on single player content, this is also possible, but would need some pretty serious cheat protection that may not be possible in an offline mode. Unless we do it Diablo III style where the only way to play 'ranked' single player matches is to do so online.
