Dumb Question on Airborne Units

I'm plowing through the tutorial and just built a German airborne unit. Why is it that no paradrop hexes are showing up when I click on the airborne unit? One turn they did but I moved normally and now for the last 2 turns there are no hexes with parachutes in them. Its winter ---does that make a difference?
Thanks for any help!

You got it. Can only drop in fair weather.

Hi,
You must be adjacent to an air unit, city, capital, or airbase. And your effectiveness needs to be at 70 or higher to be paradrop ready and have the PP's to perform the action.

If adjacent to an air unit then the air units can't have flown a mission during the turn.

Many thanks to all of you!
Does the air unit next to it have to be a fighter or can it be a tac bomber?
And, by the way, does anybody have any tips on how the Germans can take Norway? That's turned out to be a big fiasco for me though I've been able to pretty quickly beat Poland, the Low Countries, and France. Seems like I've been fooling around in Norway for months, running out of supply and losing ground forces.

RKR to the rescue! Thanks. I think I had fouled up by not having enough air power in place to take Oslo.
