So after our initial game of Battle of the Bzura, Ranta wanted a rematch.

In our first game, my Germans won again his Polish... it was either 5-2 or 6-1 on the VH count.

In our second game though, he REALLY gave my Polish a run for their money.

In the end, I put so much pressure on Lodz (taking both Lodz and the only German airfield at one point) that he wasn't able to grab one last VH for victory.

You know what they say about a good defense though. :)

With just a few more turns, he would have been able to take Piatek and claim victory.

Causality report, and the other 2 Polish controlled VHes at the end of the game. My Poles suffered terrible losses, but their sacrifices bought me a victory. lol

GG Ranta, thanks for the great game. :D

Well, thanks from my side aswell. You played both matches really well and deserved the win.

At both points, I made some errors (let you capture lodz, did not go for the east-most vh), which prevented the win. As I wrote before, in the cruicial moments you were a nose length in front of me, well played, I learned a lot.

All in all, the scenario seems very balanced to me. The germans have and advantage early, especially with the stukas, but they loose on the long run and suffer of prestige shortness. Astonishing to me was, that the pz,1,2 dont do to well against inf, even in the open field. Well, I will ply some rounds and train myselfe, an later , I may claim a revange ;)

Best regards an thanks for the tough games

I like this map, been playing Byeohazard on it of late. I scored a Decisive Victory playing as the Polish in our first match, albeit at virtually the last turn. He wanted a re-match on it so we have just kicked off for round 2.

It does seem to be a hard map from the German perspective judging from our games, as despite their early air advantage they seem to lack sufficient armour and artillery to force a game changing breakthrough against well entrenched Polish defenders. Albeit I have not played this map yet as Germany.
