Slitherine

At some point in time, will Team Assault be a part of the Slitherine tournaments / rankings.

I’m not involved in any tournaments / rankings with any other game, so I don’t actually know for sure how that even works. But I think I could take a good guess.
Feel free to enlighten me though.

It will depend I am sure of the multi-player community. In many games, its players who put the tourneys together. Rankings tend to not be too accurate in things like these as you someone always taking on noobs to be undefeated or have a great win/loss ratio. Others who take on the tougher competition don't have as good of rankings. I could take on anyone when Shogun total war first came out, but I am not sure if I was in the top 100 rankings as I did lose at times especially in team play. Sometimes due to getting beat, sometimes to teammates dropping etc... However team play was the most intense and fun online experience I ever had. Not only did I have to try to control my area of battle but I had to have a reserve ready to help my teammates as well as it would always be 2 against 1 somewhere trying to get the quick upper hand.

I see your point on the picking of your opponent.
If the match ups were done on a random basis then that should eliminate that. But I take it that is not how it works.

I'm not too familiar with Slitherine's ranking systems, but this is definitely something to be looked to when the game is released and if players use the multiplayer feature.

Maybe someone from Slitherine could jump in here to give a word on the subject to enlighten all of us.

Rankings are something that is fun to have, just got to take them with a grain of salt.

That is sort of the way I look at carrots; fun but I take them with salt.
