Slitherine

Minsk - first time I played this I mis-read the instructions & thought I could ignore Brest-Litovsk. Seemed competely trivial to capture all airfields & clearing Minsk by turn 10. Only then did I notice that BL was required for a decisive victory. Shouldn't be a problem I thought. I first noticed a spawn of planes, even though soviets had no air-fields. Then I noticed some additional troops appearing from the south as I pulled my forces back attacking BL from the East. Once I get my forces to Brest Litovsk I notice more reinforcements coming in, apparently from the West. I finally noticed the heavy artillery that had spawned without warning. but the oppo forces were now between it & my main army so were able to suppress it. I managed to clear out BL, except for the fortress, which I couldn't break down
Second time I split my army to attack BL & North East, and this was fine, was able to reduce te fortess ok, didnt get troops spawning behind my lines. Did still get the aircraft attack despite no airfields again though. I the airfield capture works to control where these appear, but not if they do
In all I thought that this was an excellent scenario, with the wearing down of the fortress in the South & the Blitzkrieg in the North, I expect it to be very interesting on a harder difficulty level.
I do think some additional info in the instructions might be helpful (ie ".. BL is well fortified so we will be bringing up some heavy artillery to assist you reducing this stronghold, and also be wary of reinforcements, both air and land that the Soviets are attempting to mobilize
