No problems with installation here (except overwriting my earlier beta, but that's my own fault ;) ).

Belgrade - FM

Starting with the new core units since I overwrote my previous beta files.

Fairly easy scenario, but nice to get back into the mood again, DV at turn 14 with 3290 prestige (bought 1 Ju87 and 1 Sturnpanzer I as additional core units).

What was strange that the DV only fired after I moved one of the Romanian officers out of Belgrade again after having moved both of them into the city before.

Yeah, only 1 officer in Belgrade triggers the DV. Kerensky has been informed .
Glad to see you back into the betatesting ;)

Thx, been busy at work here, but have a day off tomorrow, so I should be able to play a couple of scenarios here.

Metaxas Line

Got some Grenadiere as a SE unit and will keep them till I get a 3rd unit (hopefully a Panzer).

Starting with 4240 prestige, down to 1370 after elite reinforcements and upgrading my units (2 Panzer IIIG to H, 2 Panzer IVD to E, 6Rad to 8Rad, 1 10.5cm to 15cm, 2 Bf109E to F) in addition to buying another Sturmpanzer I and a Do 217E.

I sent 3 Panzer and 1 recon towards the east to help the Bulgarians.

The Greek armor is fairly nasty (good), but having 3 Stuka does help here.

Could have ended the game at turn 11/14, but Keramoti was still held by the British and it took me till turn 13 to take it. In the end I got a DV at turn 14/14 with 1860 prestige.

Nice solid scenario IMO, lost/sacrificed a bunch of non-core units and had to reinforce a fair number of core units due to AI attacks.

Crete (naval)

Starting with 2710 prestige, down to 420 after elite reinforcements, buying a 2nd Do217E to take care of the RN and upgrading my Nebelwerfer to a Wurfrahmen. And it seems like I captured a Matilda II here (Keramoti?) during the last scenario, but have missed it then ;)

By turn 4 my forces were more or less safely on land again, lost 1 15cm and got 3 other pretty damaged units, but the RN attackers were sunk.

By turn 9 only Heraklion was left in British hands.

My 3 remaining destroyers put the artillery out of ammo farily quickly, but the AAA was rendering my Luftwaffe largely useless for some time. Once I had enough artillery in place to supress the AAA and the artillery still protecting it, things got very easy.

Then essentially all that was left was mop-up - except for the pesky Mosquito, which like its namesake kept pestering me, but in the end it was downed, too - but the repair bill was very high.

DV at turn 15/15 (could have won by turn 13, but wanted to bring the Mosquito down) with 760 prestige - no core losses. but some aus units due to using them too reckless. IMO there should be a bonus or malus depending on how mayn aux units were destroyed, this would prevent (or at least lessen) them being used as cannon fodder.

Overall a nice scenario, I would have expected/liked a larger RN presence here (maybe around Heraklion, so that you dont run the risk of getting you invasion force sunk too quickly).

Minsk

Starting with 2260 prestige and I got a SE Panzer IVF, which means I will delete my SE Greandiere at the end of this scenario. After elite replacements (no upgrades yet) my prestige is down to 510 already and I just noticed that I have forgotten to replace my lost 15cm from the Crete invasion - geez, I am really short on prestige here.

With 290 prestige left after upgrading my Pz IVE to F I bought myself another Stuka instead of replacing the 15cm since speed seems to be important here - leaving me with 7 prestige ;)

I am using 3 groups with the center largely consisting of armor and 10 planes for this one.

The first turn was great, I think this is nearly perfect in capturing the "surprise" (more like orders to stand down from Stalin actually) of of the Soviet forces.

Got my first EK2 here.

The KV-1A rushing through Brest was nasty, took 9HP out of my STR12 Gebirgsjäger who were stiull embarked in their AC after the first turn.

Nice, got a T34-40 from Brest-Litovsk it seems (River Bug Bog).

Hmm, when did the Karl-Gerät spawn? Maybe a notification about reinforcements would be nice.

Nice tank counterattack to the NW of Minsk and by turn 10 I could stop worrying about how long it would take the Red Air Force to scramble its remaining fighters - 2 bases left and I got 3 of them - any idea if the number of fighters depends on the number of airfields left (liekly not, otherwise 4 airfields would mean aroud 6 fighters which would be enough to blow a fair number of Luftwaffe plains out of the sky).

K, let me correct this, more planes are coming on the next turn, too many actually for the number of airfields left, but it is a challenge ;)

By turn 14 the last airfield was taken and I could have taken the last VL, but kept playing for XP/kills and to see if still more planes are coming now that all airfields are gone.

In the end DV at turn 20/20 with 1150 prestige. It looks like I will be short on prestige after this one again, which is good when playing at Field Marshall level IMO.

Well, this was a fairly epic one and I liked it. The large number of Soviet planes with them only having 1-2 airfields left does look a bit strange, but it provides a nice challenge.

Smolensk

As expected the prestige was just enough for elite replacements and upgrading the 15cm to 17cm - 90 left. Basically this is good at FM I think. And having the Brückenpioniere aux is a very nice touch since they are very usefull and I would not have been able to buy them here which might be the case for other people, too.

Using 3 groups again with mainly tanks on the flanks.

Capt. Flyorov and his Katyushas + freinds were quite some sightas were the 20STR conscripts in Krasny ;)

Captured a KV-1B at Krasny and reached Smolensk at turn 14 with part of my forces crossing the Dnepr in the rear from the north of Pochinok.

By turn 16 Smolensk was "liberated", but I retreated a bit to get some more units to spawn.

Finished the game with a DV at 21/21 with 2691 prestige, and despite not using that many elite replacements during the fight that is a fairly large (maybe too large) increase from the 90 I started with.

Again a solid scenario, prestige might be a bit too high and I really liked the sight of Capt. Flyorov hordes even if they largely ended up as fodder for the Luftwaffe.
