Can´t install the CEAW 1.06 Demo under Windows 7 (solved)

Hello to the forums.

I downloaded the "ceaw_demo_v1.06.exe". (Tried different downloads from different Filehosters)

OS = Windows 7 32 Bit

I´ve started the installer as administrator. After choosing the language a file named "error.log" is created in the folder of the installer. After that I have to kill the process (Installer) manually.

Choosing a different language don´t fix the problem.

Java Version on my machine: Java 6 Update 29

I´ve found no solution for that problem in the forums. If a solution already was posted and I missed it (english is not my native language) a link to it would be nice. Thanks for your help.

I just bought the game today. It is already patched to v. 1.12 and runs fine.

So there is no solution for the problem but the problem is solved. :shock: :D

If this issue is solved, please update the demo. I can't try the game because I can't install the demo due to this issue and I won't buy the game without trying the demo. I imagine I'm not the only one. Thanks

I agree. I am tempted to pick up this game, but the demo not working is very off-putting.

Shame as out of the strategic European games I've looked at, this is the most appealing one... but without a working demo to try it out, I am unlikely to buy it.
