Cavalerie?

After I finished my 39 campaign I looked at the kills all my units did to see what killed the most things to my suprise my most deadly unit was not an 88 or a PzIII or a stukka it was my one cavalerie with over 40 kills through 39. Now I have to decide when does the cavalerie become obsolete or will I still have it in 1945 with it having over 200 kills.
