Modders can still do their work after 1.04 as basically they were doing before.
Besides this is off-topic.
No - after patch 1.04 - I saved my first Africa Corps or Modern War Corps scenario and after that the scenario file have a new entrypted system and I can not start the scenario with the PC engine.
In all new saved scenarios I have this error message:

Hello All!
Custom mod support is still a new feature, and some problems are possible. But we'll do our best to address them asap.
2nikivdd and all others having problems: please send your custom mods to me (
rudankort@rsdn.ru), and I'll check what's going on there. Thanks.

Thanks niki.
Also take a look at this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=29130
In that thread there's also an editor posted by Kerensky.
Try it, but before don't forget to do a backup of the file.

Are you working with the English or the German?

german version !

Maybe you could try with an English version.
I don't know if it makes any difference, but some people seem to be able to work.
Why not give a try. Probably that Kerensky's editor only work with English version of the game.

No chance ! Both version I can not work again.
I send the mod to Alex and upload it also at Africa Forum to search the problem.

@H.Balck: when you say 'it doesn't work' exactly what do you mean? The reason that I ask is that I have installed it using the GME and it seems to be AOK. When I say it 'seems to be AOK' - there are some things that seem a bit strange but that may have been the way it was before the upgrade to 1.04. To summarise what I can do with my setup with Africa Corps:
- create maps with sand clear, hills and coastlines
- place ports and city overlays (stations)
- place your units
- created and tested a scenario
- pretty much everything I would expect in the Editor and it all looks great
Check you are installing to the main Panzer Corps folder (not the user data folder with the Mods change from 1.04).
New scenarios are saved to the user folder.

Believe me I installed all things correctly and use also The GME.
But all others (Example Wino or Massi) have the same problem - after saving a scenario and do not run with the error message.
Do you installed my today uploding Africa Corps file ? Can you play the test Desert (El Agheila) scenario ?

New scenario in 1.04 works fine as described above, but scenario created in 1.02, loaded to 1.04 editor, saved with 1.04 editor did not work for me.
start from 1.02
load scenario into editor
save
exit editor
GME unload mod
upgrade to 1.04
GME load mod
load scenario
save scenario
try to start scenario
Something like this is causing mentioned problem for me. EN version.

Yes, El Agheila works fine. I could play it SP and I was able to create an MP challenge with it (after the question about a custom eqp file). The only thing that didn't work were some British vehicle movement sounds - the German ones I tested were OK and most of the British ones, too. Just a couple of armored cars had no sound. Overall, however, it seems to work.
As a follow-up test I also opened the scenario in the Editor and saved it (without making any changes) because this had caused me problems with my first install of 1.04. This time there wasn't any problem - all worked as it should.

Just double-checked by downloading the newest Africa Corps version and it all works except the only British unit with any sound was the Mathilda - the German sounds seemed OK. With this version, the Africa Corps splash screen works, too - it wasn't in my previous test.

I cant start it again and I think 1.04 dont read the correct efx - the Matilda sound missing its from the old Razz1 sound efx.
