Love the Game but the AI gets fudge rolls

The AI always seems to get the better hit rolls. Do you fudge the numbers for the AI to make it more challenging or am i just crazy and the AI does not cheat?

The AI doesn't cheat in any way - all of their rolls go through the same logic, as far as I know. In fact, I think the AI pretty much always takes the penalty for moving when firing (that is, doesn't get the chance to hunt and avoid the penalties), so you actually have an advantage! :)

Ahh, but if they don't hunt, then that means it's always much more harder to hit those faster moving targets :P

Is that why the AI doesn't hunt?

:) Hunting doesn't mean that you are not treated as a moving target. So don't worry about that!

THe AI doesn't hunt mainly because we didn't code it in. IIRC when I built the basic AI code we were still nailing down how the hunting would work. This is somewhat compensated for by the threat maps that the AI builds. These allow it to try and generate safer routes around enemy units and approach more cleverly. They have no knowledge of hidden units, but it's a level of precision that generally only the very best human player would tend to have.
