Multiplayer black screen

Hi,
Have today attempted multiplayer for the first time. Have started one game by accepting a challenge - found that I could only send my move after lifting my Norton firewall. However, I've started a second game by issuing a challenge and it isn't loading properly. I have the user interface appearing on the right of the screen but the rest is just a black screen.
Any ideas...?

You will probably have to update to v1.04 before you can continue.
You may have been logged in during the transition from 1.02 to 1.04. Get updated and let us know if you have any more issues.

Ok, thanks - I'll update. Is the patch backwards-compatible with the solo campaign? I'm on the second scenario on the main campaign. Need to re-start campaign with new patch or soldier on?

It should be fully compatible with allowing you to continue your current campaign.
As a matter of fact, if it's not, please let us know and we'll do our best to help fix the issue.

Thanks for the information. I'll post back if the v1.04 update doesn't solve the black screen multiplayer problem.

I've updated to v1.04 but still have the same black screen issue when trying to play the multiplayer game I initiated while I had v1.02 installed. I've issued a new challenge game with the up-to-date patch so I'll see if that makes a difference.

I've been having this issue for the last two days in single player.
After I hit end turn the screen goes black.
Also, I have had the game CTD twice today on 1.04 with campaign 1940
