I'm enthused about this game but have a question.

Long games are not a problem for me, I own War in the East. After WitE was released, it was implied that the beta testers didn't pay much attention to the end half of the game because of the time involved to play through the whole campaign. Since the long campaign will be my primary focus in Time of Fury, my question is has there been sufficient play through of the entire long campaign in the beta testing?
Thanks for any opinions.

In answering this, I'd like to point out two important facts about the game:

1) The mechanics of gameplay don't change throughout the whole game, so with that in mind the game has been thoroughly tested over many many turns, and for many consecutive turns, into the hundreds.

2) Events and tech levels change over time; however scenarios that start in '42 or '44 use the appropriate tech levels and events, so that even here such things have been tested.

I can say for myself that I have not played all 400+ turns of a campaign game during testing, but I personally feel confident that the whole scope of the game chronologically has been tested by me or others.

I believe that players will discuss/complain/criticise/praise the balance of the game over many hundreds of turns. The great thing is that all elements are easily moddable. If for example, you think that German minor allies should get more benefit from tech advances made by the Germans, you can go into the data files and easily mod up such things.

If you look at some of my AARs, you'll see that I personally was quite pleased with balance in Barbarossa. I can say the same for Gotterdamerung ('44), in which the Germans have high tech but are teetering on the brink of production and supply shortages. And so on.

[ooh, sweet, I see that I've advanced from a light recon vehicle to a Panzer IV]

Thanks for your reply. I've read all your AARs and they have me really anticipating the release of this game. I've been waiting a long time for a "good" game of this type as there have been previous other releases that were very problematic - CTD's, gameplay and AI issues etc.
