Major bug - can't load a saved game

I finished the 39 campaign, started the 40 campaign, and took the option to use my core units. The first scenario with the Eben Emael forts went fine. After playing a few turns of the following scenario I can no longer load any saved games. There is no way to continue the campaign at all. When I try to load any saved games it just does nothing and sits at the main options screen. Even the Axis and Allied autosave files do nothing. I've tried exiting the game ... nothing seems to work.

Were you playing in the German translation mode, or English?

English.
I cannot load any saved game from the DLC. I can however load saved games from the original campaign.
I'm guessing I have a corrupted file somewhere. Will try reinstalling the DLC.

No dice. Same thing as before. Guess I'll try restarting the DLC campaign and see if it happens again.

I am having the same problem and it only seems affect the 1940 campaign.
Edit: Clarification! This only happens if I import a core from the 1939 campaign. If I just start a fresh 1940 campaign I can save no problem.
Edit 2: Here is an example of one of the save files that won't load.

Guys, thanks for reporting this problem. Under certain circumstances saved game could become corrupted in case it used an imported core, and of course this is a very serious problem. Fixed now, EXE file with the fix can be downloaded here:
http://www.rudankort.me/PanzerCorps.exe
Could you please try to download this EXE, place it on top of previous one, and let me know if the issue is solved for you or not? Old saves, like the one posted above, will not load, because, as I said, they were corrupted. However, new saves created after importing your core into 1940 campaign using new EXE should save and load correctly.
Thanks!

One little problem with that EXE, after I replaced my exe file with that, I seem to have lost the ability to run the DLC campaigns at all. I don't get the additional campaigns option from the main menu.

Sorry, you are right. I completely forgot that the format of beta DLC packages is not the same as the final format. That's the reason why it worked for me locally, but does not work for you. EXE updated on the URL above, it should work better than previous one. :-/

Thanks for the quick update. The new EXE seemed to work perfectly. I started a new 1940 campaign with an imported core, saved the game, and then re-loaded successfully.

Kerensky wrote:If you really want to continue testing, the most important item right now is stability not game balance. We added in several new functions and a new interface to handle extra campaigns, and making sure it works 100% on a variety of Operating Systems and under all manner of circumstances is pretty important.
Our test team is awesome. Thanks everyone for your help once again!

What fixes this or will it be fixed with final beta 3?

Here's the fix. It takes time to compile reports, find the exact problem, and solve it.

Thanks for feedback but my computer keeps saying error with the above you sent. I have Vista Home Premium. Even after admin. override, this won't even download!!
It says "HTMLayout.dll can not be found." when trying to download.

As mentioned above - thanks for spotting this guys. This is a really good find.
We will have to remaster and delay release but it is well worth it for this.

you need to rightclick the link and 'save as', not try to run the executable directly.

Save as what, where??? And please be very specific.
Thanks.

I am afraid in this case you will have to wait for the official release and update, jkile. No offense intended.

You have to download the file and replace the original file with it.
So over the link,
http://www.rudankort.me/PanzerCorps.exe , press with the right mouse button and choose save as. Then go to the folder in your HD where you saved the file, and copy and paste it to the original Panzer Corps beta folder for replacing the original beta file PanzerCoprs.exe.
Beta folder is usually in: C:\Program Files\Slitherine\Panzer Corps DLC Beta
