The Avar (early) army is fine.

Perhaps the Avar army could be renamed Avar (626). That was the year they were allied with the Sassanids against the Byzantines. The date in the description would need to be updated.

Perhaps the dates for the Avar (later) army could be changed to 675 AD to 804 AD? According to the FoG Decline and Fall printed book the Avars can only have the Bulgars as allies from 675 AD.

There are a few decades missing between the first two Avar armies - Avar (early) and Avar - and the Avar (later) army. Another Avar army could be created for the dates 632 AD to 674 AD. Presumably the same as Avar (later) - with no Ally allowed?

We could create a list with no ally option for the missing period but who would choose it. We may add it eventually as over time we keep adding the missing dates to all the earlier DAGS. We may review names but not as part of the next release.

Not sure but are you saying there is an error with the Bulgar allies.

Thanks

I was just saying that in the army book the Avars can have the Bulgars as allies from 675 AD. The Avar (later) army – which is the Avar army with Bulgar allies – currently has a start date of 680 AD.

Thats because the Bulgar allies can have Slav troops that are only available from 680.
