Europe Pre-War Mod (Version 1.1 now awailable)

Welk'studio are proud to announce the resurrection of Czechoslovakia, annexed to the Reich by Adolf Sithlerine :twisted: and now liberated !

I have created the Cz. territory, I have now to place the 2 capitals (I use Switzerland as Cz., and original Switzerland will be ""No land" (out of game - code 26) : With Cz. in war, I doubt that germany could had a chance to invade Switzerland. I have also to calibrate the Cz. situation for diplomacy, economy, etc. and to rename some things and to adapt flags, etc.


Cz. OOB will be this :

1°,2°,3° & 4° Cz. Armad. ( 4 Cz armies)
6 Posadka (= Garrisons)
1 air unit = Cz.Letectvo (Aviatika) = Cz. Air forces
1 mot. Infantry unit = Cz. Motoriz. Jednotky ("Fast Cz. divisions" : motorized divisions or 1/2 motorized divisions)

If players want special parameters for this mod, suggestions are welcome. If Czchoslovakian players read this, help for oob names and organization would be a good thing : perhaps, Cz. are too small in my oob ?

Thanks. I have forgottent some east borders for East Czechoslovakia, I will add them later (just esthetic, no pb for using mod)
May be, for Spain 8) But at this time, I am in hollidays, in Pantelleria Island. Very nice, this little Island, but there are too much Axis... :twisted:

I think so, :wink: we have not very oft the possibility to play with Czechoslovakia in a wargame, in the most cases, CZ. is conquered. If you think that Cz. fortifications are too heavy, you may : 1/As Axis player, get advantage for Axis 2/ As Allies : apply this complementary "house rule" : any czechoslovakian unit may receive reniforcements if Warsaw is conquered by Axis (in addition of the 2 "house rules" that readme of the mod contain). I will do later (next year, I think) a mod with a free Austria that will allow 1934/1936 scenarios (One scenario will have Italy in Allied side, for a "1934 crisis", I founded a way to have this what if? situation in game).

This mod, now named "Europe Pre-war mod") has been upgraded to 1.1 version

This mod uses other little graph/sounds mods I created and some "flags mods" I founded on the site. The mod adds also new elemens on the map : Vosges as "rough" in north France, modification of Nice aeras to have a better esthetic for France, addition of Bermudes Islands, Rockall Island, Faroe islands, Ionan Islands, Pantelleria island, Madeira island, addition of a seaport in Balearic islands, and (just for the fun) Elba Island

This version will be updated in 1.2 version after GS 2.1 will be released.

The nex version of the Europe Pre-War mod (3.0) will add Austria and perhaps Republican Spain, to allow what if? scenarios from 1933 to 1939.

Next version (coming soon) has now a free and independant Austria, with flags and emblems (thanks to Stauffenberg for modding tips, it saved time for me :wink: = Arabia(36) is not named Arabia in class files but "sparecountry" and all files names fort 36 must use "sparecountry", not "Arabia")

Czechoslovakian and austrian units are like uk units because I calibrated Cz and Austria, for the tests, as allied. With this basic material, I will realize (after GS 2.1 awailability) a collection of little what if? scenarios that will give some new interest for game (alternate diplomatic situations, for "localized wars". These little scenarios will be played for 18/36 turns ( 1 or 2 years) and made for 2 human players, with special "house victory condition", like "old good wargames"

Is it really fair to make Austria an enemy for the Axis? I mean, German troops just walked in with no fighting and in fact the Austrian people cheered for their arrival.

In 1938, without doubt. But in 1934, situation was not the same : Germany was not so "heavy", and nobody though that Hitler could realize all what he wanted). This mopd will be used to create little alternate scenarios for 1933-1936 years, not for the normal "campaign game"

The mod is in "in test" at this time, I am playing scenarios with, to verify all things.

I will upload it when tests will be closed. I have made it with a "PC CEAW version", but I think the files will work for mac version : I have just modified txt files and images files, not the engine or other code things (but I don"t know if the organization of folders are the same in PC CEAW version and in the Mac CEAW version. If not, you will have to copy manually the files in correct folders)
