Maginot Line - Field Marshal - previous DV
Starting with 6130 prestige, down to 5480 after elite reinforcements. 5290 after turning my remaining one Infantrie into a 3rd Pionier. Got a 3rd SE PzIIIF again, lets see if this one will last longer.
Going to use all my bombers (3 strat, 3 Stuka) and artillery (3 Sturmpanzer, 3 15cm) on this one, together with my 3 Pioniere, 1 Para and the Gebirgsjäger, the rest tanks inclunding the captured heavies.
Like last time I will try to refrain from using the aux units, this time not even one of the artillery trains.
Boy, those forts are really bad news, seems like I will have to spend tons of prestige here.
By turn 4 the 2 cavs at Sarrebourgh were way to passive, they could/should have tried to gang up on my STR13 Pionier sitting out in the open.
Mud by turn 7 and rain for the 2nd turn in a row is bad news, but with just one of the big fortifications left it does not look to bad anyway.
Lost one of my Pioniere in the counter-attack around Sarrebourg mainly due to the mud (unable to get enough troops there to save them).
In the end it took nearly all of the 15 turns to get the DV, but I think not using any aux troops played a role there - 5690 prestige (more than I would have thought even if I still have to do some repairs).
Overall nice ending for this campaign, especially the bunker busting and the counter-attack.
Not having to use any fighters due to no enemy airforce left might make it a bit too easy since you are not forced to spend any slot for a fighter.
