How can one edit the tank insignia for the SE units? Just like in this image which appeared in the Matrix Panzer Corps Forum (highlighted in yellow). Could Slitherine provide the images for users to insert in their game files?:

That would be the country of SS Das Reich.

as above, in the yellow box, the country flags / symols are shown. so with introducing a country "das reich" this would be possible.
For more interesting is the tile below the tank

i9 ont think it is contained i the standrad tiles, or?
best regards

Indeed, current title is simply: SE Panther A/D/G
That picture is from some point before release though, so I'm assuming it was changed to be more clear?

Well, I got my answer. Can't blame a guy for trying though.

This reminds me of "Sturmovik" flight sim by Oleg Maddox. Same problem, they had to remove the hakenkreuze from German planes when they marketed the game outside of Russia. I would mod the unit insignia if I could, but I don't where these files reside.

Hi, Ranta. Are you talking about the Historical Insignia pack (which I have already installed) or a mod that can change the current politically-correct unit symbol to the historically accurate panzer unit symbol (yellow box above)? If the latter, which forum? The Slitherine one or other forums? Thanks in advance.

That's not a unit symbol.
It is a country symbol.

if you want the yellow box (country flag) changed from the original, you have to change the icon /graphic in the /ui/flags folder.
Its not very difficult, you can draw a new symbol pixel-wise (21x21) per had with gimp or such (the graphics are very samll, it's about 5-10minutes work). The easiest mean is to find a "normal" flag per google and just extract a cricle int he center of the desired size (or you just ask the mods for ss flag of the above picture)
So you could change the german flag for all german units (replace the german flag) or you add a special "ss" country (compeltely, with equipment and other, for every scenario) (which you would have to fiddel into the main campaign then, though)
Best regards

@Ranta, thank you. Actually I want to create individual unit symbols for each S.E. unit, is this possible? After the unit symbol is created how do I assign it to the different tank units? I'm not exactly sure of the file structure. Thanks in advance.
@Razz, I know its a country symbol but in the earlier image it was a unit symbol. So my question is, where's the file that controls this symbol reside? Just a hint will do.

I'm not sure, but I think there's a limit number of flags in the game. I don't think you've enough available flags for each SS plus the ones that the game need. I think the unit it will have to be associated to a "country" through the equipment file located on the Data folder. So basically you'll have to choose which flags you don't want to use and replace them with yours.
You can edit that file with the help of mgarnett's "
Equipment\FX\Campaign Editor".
