suggested change in victory conditions

In PG2 one could win even the most unbalanced scenarios simply by figuring out how to take the opponent's single original v hex. This required the strong-side player to be much more careful about his play. More than once, a good strategic thinker defeated my superior force by taking my v hex because I didn't protect it well enough. If this feature were incorporated in PCW, perhaps some people would devise a strategy for winning some of the unbalanced scenarios and introduce an entirely different dimension of play to them. I have beaten the AI from the German side on Colonel setting in Germany West, Germany East, and Bagration, but it would be a much different thing to try to do it against a human player under the current victory condition requirements. Could this be added as an additional victory condition?

A scenario has two sets of victory conditions - one for campaign play and one for stand-alone scenario play. What you are asking for, if I understand you, is in the game now and can easily be included if a campaign scenario were to be played as a standalone. Is that what you mean? Have a different set of victory conditions if you were playing a human as compared to the AI?

I don't think that's what I'm asking. Here's what I am trying to ask. In Bagration, for example, the Russian player begins with one vhex, Smolensk. In PG2, if the German player could take that one vhex, he would win the game. That is not the situation in PCW as far as I can tell. I put Bagration on hot seat mode and put a German inf in Smolensk but it did not end the game after the Russian player had a chance to retake the hex. I am asking if an alternative win situation can be created that lets the German win if he takes Smolensk, regardless of how many of his own vhexes he loses. I suppose it could be set up as a two-player condition only.

Very easy to do. The scenario might need to be modded but there are many ways this could be done. If I did it, I would make that one objective a zone and then set a victory condition according to who controlled that zone. So, yes, very easy to do what you ask.
