Hey All,

I played my first game with the League of Augsburg vs Louis the XIV. I was Louis. I absolutely smashed the League, but it wasn't anything but poor dice rolling on his behalf.

Anyway - my opponent asked if anyone has a 800AP list he could look at for some inspiration.

Yeah, it wouldn't hurt - thing is he used my dice!

My only complaint of FoG is that the dice seem to be incredibly one sided. I have far too many '1:1000' dice results. I've played too many games where I rolled nothing but 5's... and too many games where I've rolled nothing but 2's... and not enough games where everything seems to average out.

It's just life, but it does detract from my enjoy-ability of the game... and when it's a first game for someone you're trying to get interested in the game, well... it doesn't go over too well. Fortunately he's willing to give it another go.

But isn't that the rule of life ? You only get 5s when you need 3s or 4s ?

For beginners give them an extra 125 points. Or deduct them from yours.

So how is this different from any other dice based game?

Cant think of any systems where if you roll one extreme with your dice and your opponent rolls the other extreme where there are any differences :?:

I could have given him 10,000 extra points and taken nothing but poor quality light infantry and I would have won!

......... If someone plays their first game, and rolls poor dice and is frustrated by that or the game ... they need to find another hobby.
