Danzig Corridor - Field Marshal - previous DV

After repairs (mostly non-elite), upgrading the 7,5cm to 10,5cm, buying another Sturmpanzer I, a Pz38 and another Ju87 I am down to 100 prestige.

Even at FM the combined arms usage of the AI is fairly bad often - it attacks with tanks/infantry and only follows up with artillery instead of using it to soften up my forces.

Some cities (mainly Wiecbork changed possession quite a few times and in the end I failed to take it again). DV at 14/14 with about 1280 prestige, and it was far from easy, so it looks good to me - again I am not sure what is due to the difficulty and what might be caused by changes to the beta.

Edit: The only thing I didnt like was the Ai still defending right on the river instead of behind it, but this is most likely caused by the objectives there. Placing the objective behind the river might be better and actually even a bit more realistic since usually you want a bridgehead on the other side and not just control of the bridge.

A new core slot was filled with a second fighter. The 7,5cm was upgraded to 10,5cm art.
I experienced no difficulties on Colonel level.
In turn 1 and 2 i managed to destroy 7 enemy units. In turn 3 and 4 the enemy was counter-attacking. The armoured units were attacked by my airforce, the cavalry with my tanks.
At turn 6 i had control of the battlefield, clearing the remaining flag hexes of enemy troops.
On this level it is surely not more difficult than the 1st scenario.

I suppose the 37mm POL AT gun on bridge hex (15,22) had a bad day for it could have made bantha podoo of my PzI but it didn't attack at all.

No units lost, 10/14 turns, DV, 356 PP.

I played Danzig South for the first time on this go round, and it was a splendid little scenario. I got a decisive victory with 3 turns left. Prestige still feels high, I have all the upgrades I need and my core is maxed and I am again getting to a point where I have an extremely comfortable amount of prestige. But that is okay actually, having played all the way through the end of the 1940 campaign, I know prestige will be tight soon.

Although a bit easier than Danzig North, the Polish cavalry counterattacks can still give you a bloody nose. I lost my SE Infantry that I received on this level. An excellent scenario though I think Danzig North is probably the more enjoyable of the two.
