Battle of Bapheus 1301

Some interesting historical issues with this first scenario. According to the Osprey book "Armies of the Ottoman Turks 1300-1774", the Byzantines "ambushed" an "Ottoman raiding party" in "a steep valley" but their army "crumbled" and was only saved by "Slav infantry".
The article on the De Re Militari website has two other accounts, one from Ottoman sources and the other from a Byzantine point of view. Both are are completely different from each other and from the version in the Osprey book.
