Campaign 39

Installed without a hitch on my HP Intel Duo Core 64-bit Windows 7 system. First scenario seemed about right difficulty wise with the middle AI selection (forgot the rank). The second scenario briefing is missing the word "it" in the first sentence of the second paragraph. It should say ..."IT is vital..." instead of "is vital".

When receiving an elite unit at the beginning of a scenario, is it possible to include text for the unit instead of simply a picture?

Other than the above, great so far.

AI has been good so far, however in the second scenario, at the lower right corner objective, the AT gun on the bridge could have moved one hex and most likely destroyed my recon unit that was down to strength 4 after my attack.

Maybe the AI did not see your recon? ATs have a very limited spotting range.

First scenario played nicely. Colonel level.

1. No voice for briefings - just want to confirm that is just because it's a beta?
2. Objectives still not available from within a turn - will that be part of the patch upgrade that precedes the release of the DLCs?
3. 12,14 AT advanced out of its city cover to attack me. Razz has pointed this out, too, I think. By design?
4. Seemed to get more rugged defenses - might just be a perception, though.
5. AD @ 15,2 could/should fire at my fighter but did not - is it set to Defend, Active?
6. Defenders do not counter when a vulnerable enemy is adjacent - this is a problem with the AI IMO.
7. Polish AT caught my PzIA on a river - 6 points of damage. Nice attack!
8. Only unit destroyed was my AT which was caught by the TKS counter in the south in its transport. Not a huge loss.

Ended with a Turn 12 DV.

Started next scenario with 1482 prestige and 15 slots - looking forward to creating an army worthy of Mordor, now! :)

Possible, but it there was one hex between them for several turns.

Another small item...I may have never noticed this before, but the briefing for the third scenario said (I think) that a decisive victory required all objectives to be captured. I assumed that meant all the cities, not just the required objectives. This may be the way it has been worded in the base game, but I think it would be clearer if it said Primary objectives, or something along those lines.

No problems so far, just completed the first scenario of 1939. Got surprised by Polish tanks destroying one of my units and heavily damaging another, most likely just me being over aggressive with movements. Decisive victory with a turn to spare...seems pretty balanced for starting off on medium difficulty.

Also to note, as I expected - cosmetic mods appear to work with the expansion. I backed up my ui & graphics folders and copied in the historic insignia mod for fun...loaded my save game and it was working. I'll post some more when I get time to crank out a few more scenarios.

Thanks for the opportunity to beta test, been playing all General series games and Panzer Corps since their releases. Never tire of the originals, but it's fun and refreshing to play something a bit different.

finished 2nd scenario

didn't lose any units,,,but ended w/ a MV

Got close to taking Rypin,,but AI kept on generating blocking forces and I was unable to captue it in time :(

Good scenario and one hell of a fight

*****finished 39'******

GREAT WORK :!: :!: :!:

I'm not really going to into the weeds w/ details

Loved it

The only drawback, imho, is low prestige thru the campaign.

If you have a "bad" scn. you don't really aren't able to get your troops back up to being really elite (ie: heavily overstrength) and keep repalcing lost units and/or upgrades.

Of course this also taught me to really be cautious and conservse my troop strenght (which in itself is probably a good thing  ).

All in all TWO THUMBS UP :!: :!: :!:

In the May 11, 1940 Albert Canal scenario, there is a word error. it says "your objective is to follow secure the crossings...". Obviously, should just say "secure" instead of "follow secure".

Also a spelling error in the next scenario about capturing the Hague. in the objectives, auxiliary is misspelled.
