First scenario.
Playing at default level.
Difficulty at this level is about right, leaning maybe a bit to the easy side. but i wouldn't adjust it.

No starting ammo for Polish plane or AA at air field at Zielona and at half strength. Don’t know if this is by design or not. Able to more or less knock them out the first turn.

Yes this is by design - its part of the "surprise" you get in the instial phase of the war.

Surprise for whom?
The Germans that we are so lucky to catch the Pole unaware or for the Poles the the Quartermaster never issues ammo for the guns?

It's just a bit of variety - you have an opportunity to take them ouit early if you spot. We've got lots of little things like this scattered through to keep it as fresh as possible.

That's great! Considering how much of the Polish air force was destroyed on the ground, it is quite accurate too.

Installed trouble free, just started Poznan. 2 turns in and no issues.

Hello there, thanks for letting me in !

Tried Poznan (campaign), default difficulty. No issues. "Unprepared" Polish units (low strength/ammo/fuel) are a nice touch. Noticed one overstrength TKS tank however, I don't remember ever seeing an overstrength AI unit on normal level in the vanilla campaign.
Marginal victory seem very easy to achieve, Decisive is tight enough for a first mission.
No prestige at all earned at the beginning of a turn, intended or bug ?

Fired up Eben Emael (campaign) just to have a quick look, didn't have time to play it yet, I just have one remark : the briefing text give me the impression that I'll be able to pick the units that will be paradropped near the fort, yet some default units were already predeployed, and I couldn't do anything about them.

(edited for clarity, only german campaign)

I can't wait to play this when I get home, but am I to understand from Kjeld's post, that you can actually play the campaign from the Polish side?

No - there is no option (at lest that I see) to do that with the campaign.

Well here goes nothing.

Finished Poznan..had to restart once  due to counterattack by TKS and Polish Cav  . Nice touch, will elaborate below

Settings for campaign: Full Bird (Colonel),,weather, supply, and F.O.W. all selcted.

Liked scn. for following reasons:

1)Loved the added obj's rather than time limit for DV :D .
2)Liked the counter attack by the TKS and the Cav. I had originally had bought only added air assets and had to restart and buy additional ground units.
3)Liked the half strenght ground units. Was this to represent Batt. level units :?: ,if it was...nice touch.
4)Liked the way the counterattack came from a differnt axis on 2nd start........very nice touch if it was intentional :P
5)Liked AI behavior in sometines reinforcing in place or retreating a unit (both air and ground). I have not noticed this in the original PzC,if it's a new tweak,,bravo  ,,if not well
6)Liked placement of intial OPFOR (some minor victory hexes were defened some were not). This led to some uncertainity and use of recon to scout.

Dislikes for scn.
1)Not enough Polish air (imho). OPFOR could use maybe one or two more air units. Maybe script some reinforcements for AI to signify air units mobilizing
2)AI kept throwing reinfrocements into my face as I approached final city in top right corner. I had to physically occupy the hexes sorrounding the city w/ a unit to stop this.

All in all an excellent peice of work,,if the rest of the campaign is as good it will be an excellent campaign and well worth the money.

My future crictics will not be as verbose 8) . I will just refer to one of the above in future reviews :)

I acheived DV in 12 turns,,sorry  forgot to mention.

Good point. Since this is sort of the mindset of the objectives, Polish air should be a bit more menacing (if that’s possible) – otherwise, why are they considered a“threat”?

Unit in Legencia came out of the city to attack me.

This can be fixed now.

I played this scenario and thought it was very well designed. I think I underestimated it somewhat and ended up only getting a marginal victory. I wasn't quite able to capture the objective that is most in the upper-right. It does a good job of feeling like a blitzkrieg as someone else has said. You feel like the enemy is unprepared to face you, but obviously it isn't a complete pushover as it did manage to stop me from achieving total victory.

One thing I have found in the DLC games is that recon seems more important than in regular PC campaign. You really want to get a sneak look at whats waiting for you as you scream across the map. the Luftwaffe is far more destructive in these games, even more so I find than in the PC polish scenarios. I think it really gives you a nice feel of blitzing the map as you scream across Poland.
I liked the half strength, no supply units it does give a nice we caught them off guard feeling to start. Later the Poles start to put up a stiffer defence. I have also found a use for having at least one cav in the core army, much more useful than in the normal campaings.

I get the surprise thing, but I would like to second Xerkis:

The crappy Polish plane has only 5 STR and could at least be given some ammo to fire back.
For some reason the Polish Airforce never ever dared or rather never ever could counter-attack anything.

As I stated in my Campaign report thread:

The DV objective is the hard one. The city in the upper right corner.
The MV objective is to get all cities - this includes the city in the upper right.
My suggestion is to change it to all airfields or everything except this city, Konin or whatever its name was.

Marginal Victory should be the option to continue even if you didn't do perfectly, but right now you either get a DV or you lose completely.

Decisive victory in Poznan leads to Danzig South.
Marginal victory in Poznan leads to Danzig North.

Only a loss will end the campaign, are you sure you got a marginal victory in Poznan?

My first impressions are good ones. Download and install was breeze with no issues. While the early period of the war lacks the cool tanks of the later stages I like how the German surprise attack is modeled via the air units and settings. I finishied my DV with two turns left over but that was due to me capturing all hexes. I like the additional victory conditions, nice touch.
