Your favorite wanted UI improvements for Panzer Corps?

My wishlist:
1. Display Hero stats as well
They could be attached to the F6 unit stat panel as red +X number e.g..
So far people rename the unit to reflect the bonuses, a crude workaround.
This information should be visible at a glance. Suggestions how to do this would be nice.
2. Show clearly how many turns are remaining for minor and decisive victory plus a list of the necessary objectives.
So far you have to rely on remembering the briefing to know that holding Paris and... how many of the other objectives again?... is needed to achieve at least a minor victory in Overlord for instance.
3. Improve the casualties screen
I would like a toggle to see how many strength points got lost/killed rather than units and a separate campaign and scenario losses tab
4. Add yours! Help make Panzer Corps even better.

Here's two more:
* Be able to sort by name on the unit list. Both by actual name and by name given from player.
* Better contrast of color on maps with regard to who has which victory hex.

The strategic map is not useful enough as it is, you can't really use it as a "sitrep" device. It's too blurry for that, currently. Improvements on strategic map:
* better contrast of victory hexes vs other flags
* clearly display who owns each victory hex (like Xerxis says) - I'd like specific flags here. Not just "owned by Axis" but a German flag or a Romanian flag, etc
* better contrast between axis, allied, and neutral flag hexes (it all feels like muddied greens and browns now)

Precisely what I’m thinking too Molve. But I just stated it in a bit more terse fashion.
The way it is now, you might as well get out the old amber colored screens from the 1980s

Heroes
An small icon (like the cross in PG2) on the unit to mark it have heroes attached.
Name of cities and key hexes on map
This would increase the flavour of the game. Since all cities have the same graphic it´s hard to tell one from another and scenarios looks all the same. This is Prokorovhka or Kharkov? Is that the Meuse River? The Don? Where am i?
I love PG2 because each map was totally different from the rest. I like PC a lot but i really don´t remember the maps i´ve played since they are built from generic graphics that could represent any terrain.
I would be terrific if we could have french forests/mediterranean forest/russians forests and such depending on the scenario.

Maybe also have bonuses show on the stats info panel reflect stat improvement and a different color. Something like move 4 as is but if the unit has +1 move to show it there as a yellow 5.

This is already in the game. Just hover your mouse over the city and look at the panel on the right

I think what he's asking for is a way to toggle labels on the main map.

I would like to be able to bring up unit history/hero information during the deployment phase by right-clicking a unit like I can during a battle.

This is possible, but you may have to be in the alternate mouse configuration to access it.
I use the '2 button mouse' interface, and when I alt+click a unit in the deploy list, it brings up the expanded information.
I assume you are having problems because you are right clicking a unit placed on the board, which of course undeploys it again.
Alt+left click on the unit you would like to see expanded details on while that unit is still located in the deploy list and NOT on the game map, give it a try.

This sort of this is my desired UI improvement.

* Tactical Map: Higher contrast for the border between the fields in spotting range and the fields hidden by the fog of war
* Tactical Map: Indicating the border of the spotting range of an unit under the mouse pointer. Applicable for player units and uncovered enemy unit
* Tactical Map: Adding a shortcut which replaces the player fog-of-war with the fog-of-war as seen by the visible enemy units. Shortcut not of toggle type, but instead revert to the player fog-of-war when the shortcut button is released.
* Strategic Map: Better visibility of airfields

Hmm, I didn't know that about the alt+click. It would be nice if I could right click a unit in the deployment list and bring up this information as well, it would at least be consistent with how i normally bring it up. Thanks for the tip though.

Would like to be able to choose the path my units move.
Maybe by holding Ctrl and clicking on the hexes I want that unit to move through.

Do note that the usual method of movement (auto) should be the standard, this would only work when the player wanted to.

Show what kind of objective the "circle" is no the strategic map
Right now we have circles and victory circles with golden edge to the circle on the strategic map.
This makes it impossible to tell: City? Airfield? Port? WTF is this circle actually?
Solution: Strategic map icons for the mentioned hexfields/objectives
